Roger Federer is the best tennis player ever
June 15, 2009
Roger is the king. There is no doubt about it. He is better than Rod because of the difference in surfaces that tennis players have to play on now.

No way! Today, we call each major a “grand slam”, because achieving a real grand slam (all four in one year) is so difficult. Laver did it twice, and the competition was tough. Federer has so far failed to achieve a grand slam, not because two of them are played on hard courts, but because winning all four majors in one year is nearly impossible. Winning all four in a career is considered exceptional. Also, Laver was out of the slams for five years. Imagine what his total would be if he played slams from ‘64 to ‘68.
Also, On the grand slam alone, I’d place Don Budge at No. 2.
My list:
Laver
Budge
Federer
Emerson
Agassi
Borg
Sampras
Lacoste
Tilden
Lendl
